Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Bid Storm ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. Our Service

Bid Storm is a white-label platform that helps organizations run silent and live charity auctions. Organizers can create events, list auction items, register bidders, accept bids, sell tickets, and collect donations. A one-time go-live fee applies per published event.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account. Organizations may invite additional users as admins or bidders.

4. Auctions & Bidding

Bids are binding commitments to purchase. The highest bid that meets any reserve price at close wins. Bid Storm processes bids on a best-effort basis and uses server-side validation to keep bidding fair, but we are not liable for outages, delays, or disputes between bidders. Organizers set the rules for each event, including bid increments, auto-extend windows, and close times.

5. Payments

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. By submitting payment you authorize Stripe to charge your card for the stated amount. Go-live fees, ticket purchases, donations, and winning bids may each be charged separately. Refunds are issued at the organizer's discretion in accordance with their event policies.

6. Donations & Tax Receipts

Donations are processed on behalf of the hosting organization. Tax-deductibility depends on the host organization's tax-exempt status. Receipts are provided for paid items and donations; consult your tax advisor regarding deductibility.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the platform, including placing fraudulent bids, attempting to disrupt auctions, scraping data, or circumventing payment. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

8. Limitation of Liability

Bid Storm is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for the outcome of any auction, including unsold items, payment disputes, or fulfillment of won items between bidders and organizers.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Bid Storm after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Contact

Questions about these terms can be directed to the hosting organization or to Bid Storm support.
